Welcome Message from Conference 2022 President

DEAR COLLEAGUES!

It is a privilege to invite you to take part in the work of the VII Scientific Conference with International Participation "CHRONIC RADIATION EXPOSURE: LATE MEDICAL AND BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS" (6-8 December 2022, Chelyabinsk, Russia).

Conference Program
The main objective of the conference is to give an opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues relevant to the long-term effects of low dose-rate chronic radiation exposure of humans. Close attention will be paid to the molecular - genetic and epigenetic effects of chronic exposure. It is also planned to give consideration to medical, biological, epidemiological, environmental, dosimetric and socio-psychological aspects of chronic human exposure.
The results of the up-to-date medical and biological, epidemiological and dosimetric studies of the accidentally exposed population, as well as the personnel of nuclear enterprises, including Mayak PA will be presented at the Conference. Participation in the conference of researchers from various fields of science, representing the Russian Federation, countries of near and far abroad, will allow sharing the results of their studies, discussing the methods to analyze medical and biological effects of low dose and low dose-rate exposure.
The Conference will be hosted by the Urals Research Center for Radiation Medicine (URCRM) of the Federal Medical Biological Agency. The focus of the scientific research of the URCRM is the effects of chronic radiation exposure (health-related, dosimetric, epidemiological, medical genetic effects) resulting from radioactive waste discharges into the Techa River, radiation accidents of 1957 and 1967. The long-term experience gained by the Ural scientific community in monitoring environmental contamination and following up the health of exposed people is a unique basis for further development and improvement of the principles and practice of radiation protection.
We sincerely hope that you will be able to accept our invitation to participate in the conference in December 2022. We will be grateful if you find an opportunity to share the information given above with your colleagues who may also be interested in our conference.

Scientific chairperson of the Conference
