"Trabecula" Application

The generator of bone segment geometry TRABECULA is a convenient tool for constructing computational phantoms of human hematopoietic sites with consequent dosimetry application, viz., for evaluation of energy deposition in bone marrow targets per emitted particle.

The energy deposition per emitted particle is recalculated to a skeletal-average dose factor, converting the radionuclide activity concentration in the cortical or trabecular bone to the value of dose rate in bone marrow.

The software is designed for scientists and engineers working in the bone marrow dosimetry.

A useful feature of Trabecula software is its ability to generate output files that are ready to be exported to MCNP (Monte Carlo N-Particle Transport Code).


  • The program is designed for use on IBM PC compatible computers running Windows XP SP2 (and above), Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8, 10.

  • Certificate of State registration of the program № 2019617010 dated 03.06.2019.
The program requires Java Runtime Environment version 8.0 or higher installed. Use a command file «trabecula.bat» to start.
