Mikhail Kisselev (born 1949)

Mikhail Kisselev, in full Mikhail Filippovich Kisselev (born 1949), Doctor of Sciences in Biological Sciences, Deputy Head of the Federal Medical Biological Agency, the representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation, a member of the Russian Commission on Radiological Protection, the laureate of the State Prize, was awarded the “Medal of Honor”, a member of the editorial board of the journal “Nuclear Medicine and Radiation safety”, “Emergency medicine”.

Dr. Kisselev conducts research in the field of medical and biological evaluation of the impact of man-made factors of physical, chemical and biological nature on the human body; development of methods and means of dose reconstruction as well as quantification of chemicals in biosubstrates and environmental media; development of technical standards for radiation and chemical safety, safe destruction of nuclear and chemical weapons, environmental factors effect on the health of people living close to industrial facilities.
