On September 8-9, 2022, the IX Republican Scientific and Practical Conference "Medical- biological and environmental issues in uranium mining regions" was held online/offline in the Nur-Sultan city on the basis of the Institute of Radiobiology and Radiation Protection NJSC "Astana Medical University" .
Dr. Elena Shishkina, the acting Head of the Biophysics Laboratory of the URCRM, Doctor of Sciences in Biological Sciences, took part in the Conference and presented her report "Uncertainties in reconstruction of doses of the Ural Region population within the framework of epidemiological studies". Also, Dr. Elena Shishkina acted as a moderator of the section meeting.
Topical issues of the radioecological situation, ensuring the radiation safety of personnel and the state of population health living in the zone of influence of negative factors of radiation hazardous objects activity were discussed during the Conference.
