The Working Group and subgroup meetings discussed various topics related to the study of second primary cancer after radiation therapy; epidemiological studies of radiation and cancer; circulatory system diseases induced by radiation exposure; and evaluation of public exposure to ionizing radiation from natural and other sources.
The Scientific Committee also discussed the future research agenda (2025-2029), UNSCEAR public information and outreach strategy and Report to the UN General Assembly.
The 70th session of the Scientific Committee is planned to take place from 19 to 23 June 2023 in Vienna.
The Russian delegation took part in the Session on-line.
